Social Saturday: Gogol Bordello

I’m loving doing artist of the month, much like my poet of the month and here’s this month’s group, Gogol Bordello. P.S., I LOVE the guy in the back shirt.

What the hell is a gogol bordello? Well, Gogol Bordello is an American punk band from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, formed in 1999 and known for theatrical stage shows and persistent touring. Much of the band’s sound is inspired by Gypsy music mixed with punk and dub. The band incorporates accordion and violin (and on some albums, saxophone). I have my friend Rebecca in Korea who introduced me to them. I had no clue who they were. I heard this song and I was hooked ever since. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Have a good one.
